I was pleasantly surprised that i was right on both counts. First of all, my wife loved who they looked on the table. They are really nice looking. Also, they are indeed very well made and contrary to some other reviews, they are quite sharp. We used them at Thanksgiving and recently at a holiday party and everyone commented on how nice they were and how sharp they were. And the wooden case? While it's a fairly basic wooden case, it's not really poorly made, and it perfectly stores the knives. Lastly, my recommendation is to hand wash these knives as I'm not sure the dishwasher would be best in the long-term. For the money, these knives, along with the case, are a true bargain.
