Review: Only got 3 stars because of the service, not the product. It’s a great weather station but they sent the wrong mains cable. I needed one for the UK. I tried contacting them but got no response. I kept the station because I can use it with batteries.
Review: My old weather station finally gave up the ghost so I needed to order another one. After looking at several different units and reading the customer reviews I decided upon this model and I am convinced I made a good choice. The unit is very easy to set up and install and it works great. The sensor unit is very easy to install on the outside of your home using and the main screen is large enough to see all the displayed information clearly but yet it's small enough to fit nicely on the night stand in my bedroom. The main display panel is very nicely organized, displays the information clearly, has a host of control buttons on the side of the panel that allows you to control and program the functions of the unit and the color display is really nice and very effective in making the data easy to see. The sensor uses 2 AA batteries and the main display screen has a plug in chord for main power as well as accepting 2 AA batteries as a backup power source. You can use it with just the batteries if you wish to but in this mode the main screen operates at "low" light intensity level. With the power chord the screen stays fully lit up, although you can adjust this setting and lower the lighting level from "high" to "low". At the "Low" setting you can still easily see the data but it won't light up your bedroom at night when your sleeping. I haven't used the "frost" alarm or "temp" alarm as I have no need for this but if you want to you can set both of those and the unit will give off an alarm if the temp settings you programmed in are reached. The barometric pressure, the moon phase, the actual inside and outside temperature is very accurate (I compared them to other sensors that I have). It comes with 1 outside sensor but if you can order and use up to 2 more sensors for a total of 3 sensors. I have no need of another sensor but that is a nice feature to have available. I really like this unit and am very impressed with it's function, appearance and performance.

A: 1) Calibration typically takes 7-10 days. 2) If moved between environments (e.g., bringing the sensor indoors during winter), it may take a few hours to recalibrate.

**Q: Why does my outdoor sensor lose connection or show "--" on the main unit?**
A: Signal loss is usually due to distance or interference Distance: Max range is 200ft (60m) in open areas. Obstacles: Each wall/floor equals ~50ft of signal loss. Shielding: Keep units away from large metal objects. Vertical mounting helps.

**Q: Why does the clock show the wrong time automatically?**
A: By default, the weather clock is set to PST with DST turned off. Simply set your correct time zone and adjust the DST setting according to the instructions when you first use it. This will ensure the clock displays the correct time.

**Q: Why does the screen auto-dim for 7 minutes or 15 seconds?**
A: 1. 7m Dimming (Atomic Sync): Normal during WWVB signal search. The dimming reduces interference for a successful, accurate time sync. 2.15s Dimming (Battery Mode): This is the Power Saver Mode. For continuous light, always use the power cord/adapter.

**Q: Why Does My Screen Keep Dimming when plugged in?**

Shipping was very fast and the unit worked fine on batteries but even when plugged in, the light would not stay on. I wrote to Rachel in customer service who determined the problem was a faulty power adapter. She sent me a brand new unit (no need to return the original!). It arrived in 3 days and this one worked perfectly. It even had the correct time as soon as we plugged it in. This is a great weather station and I was particularly impressed with the quality and responsiveness of the customer service. Thank you, Rachel!
