Maybe it depends what color you get? I got the white one and it’s so soft, it’s even softer than the other one I bought from these guys. Other one was 60% wool. This thing is super soft to the touch, very comfortable on the skin, and it just looks incredible. It’s an off-white color which makes it look like a bit of a cream color overall and I love it honestly. I literally wear these things everywhere because for some reason I love being wrapped up in them haha. But yeah this thing is incredible and even better than I thought it would be. Again, I don’t know about the other colors. Some people were saying it was super course and rough feeling and smelled bad but mine is superrrr soft and it did have an odd smell out of the package but the smell was nice to me honestly so no complaints here. Wonderful shawl and I’ll definitely be buying more of them in the future. I’ve had my other one from Om Shanti for years and I still love that one too. Obviously the longer you have them and depending on usage you’re gonna put some wear on them like any other fabric and they’ll get a bit dirty over time just use something that’s like a fabric softener that’s wool friendly and I’m sure you’ll be fine. The other one I have I’ve washed in the machine and it was fine (again, 60% wool on that one) this one I want to retain its softness so I’m gonna be more careful about washing it when it’s time for it but overall I love these things.
