I believe, barley malt syrup is an essential ingredient baking bagels as it enhances both the texture and flavour. I bought this one and it was fantastic. I’ve only used it for making bagels, but I know it can be used in a variety of things. I’ve used it over several weeks and it stayed fresh and worked beautifully. It is rather sticky and can leak on the sides when you pour it out, but I was very happy with this purchase.
