I would never use this paint to make keepsake items or gifts for others, for that we use acrylic paints and keep a VERY close eye on kids who might try to taste it. But the veggie paints are perfect when the goal of the art project is simply to have fun and make a mess!

**Q: What are all the vegetable used to make the paints?**
A: Ingredients: Organic Potato starch, organic corn starch, organic psyllium husk, organic beet, organic turmeric, organic spinach, organic spirulina and organic hibiscus powders.

**Q: What colors are included in the set of 5?**
A: Purple, Green, Yellow, Orange and a Pink/Red.  Please see related video under product photos for actual colors.

**Q: Do they contain heavy metals like lead? Is there any testing done to ensure no lead?**
A: All of our products are tested for lead and heavy metals by a certified third party testing lab.

**Q: Will it stick to canvas?**
A: We think Veggie Baby Finger Paints are best used with art paper.  Will it stick to canvas?  It will stick in a chunky, abstract way where you build up layers on the canvas, but this technique isn't for everyone.  You would then need to use a hair dryer to dry it down so it doesn't mold and seal it so you don't have issues.  Most people would have better success with drying down their art paper and framing it under glass.

This paint is great! It's completely baby safe since the ingredients are all food. It's expensive, but we've been using the same pack for 3 years- a little powder goes a long way. This was perfect for our purpose of sensory play. The paints are different textures, bright colors, different spice smells and safe when wet. My 9 month old had a blast painting the canvas and everything else. She got them on her face, which I felt more comfortable with given their ingredients. Clean up was easy since we did it in the bath tub. Between painting and bathing, we used an entire wake window doing this activity and still have plenty of paint to do it again a few more times. Cons: if you’re looking to make keepsakes, these likely aren’t for you. The colors dull to chalk shades when dry, it smells of spices and looks textured and delicate. I don’t think they’d hold up well over time without some sort of added coat to preserve them
