I had a fan with a 40W circle fluorescent lamp (Westinghouse 40W Triphosphor #37340) This led ring was easy to install, has much improved brightness and a much better color temperature (soft white). I love it! It's a HUGE improvement over the fluorescent.Update 2018-02-22: The bulb was installed in a ceiling fan/light combo and it stopped working last week. Very disappointed with the poor life of this lamp especially given that it's only on a few hours per day. I may order another one and see if it lasts longer.Update 2018-02-28: I ordered a replacement lamp and in the process of installing it noticed that the connector from the power supply to the lamp had become disconnected. I reconnected it and the old lamp was working fine again. This connector has no positive locking mechanism and seems to have worked its way loose due to thermal or vibration issues (this light is in a ceiling fan). I may add a couple of dabs of hot glue to make a permanent fix. Now have to return the replacement.
