The especially brilliant design of the actual mechanism that locks into the hitch receiver deserves notice: it clicks in very easily and cleanly, and locks into the receiver very easily and nicely. This is the opposite of primitive competitor mechanisms that are just a loose metal tube shunted into the receiver and secured loosely with a simple bolt. The Allen Sports mechanism is really excellent, and superior value.

This is a perfect bike rack, exactly what I wanted. It's light but sturdy. It's quick and easy to install and remove, and it comes with an integrated hitch lock. It's has a very small footprint for storage, or for just leaving attached to vehicle. And it holds two e-bikes sturdily and securely. Very simple to load/secure and unload bikes. I'm over 50 and not particularly strong, and for me, at least, it's not as difficult to lift a 60 lb e-bike up onto it as you might initially think it would be.
