In order to maximize catch rates of the different species of insects we utilize two insect attracting colors on each trap: Brilliant Blue and Yellow. I had a fungus gnat infestation from starting seeds and tried reducing watering frequency, insecticidal soap and neem oil. None helped and the fungus gnats got worse and worse. Finally decided to try these and could not be happier with the results. The traps are quite large (compared to others I have tried) and really a good deal. The gnats get stuck to both the yellow and blue sides. I could not believe how many were stuck to it in just 1 day. The gnat population has been drastically reduced now. Get these ones! They work! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ great product *by T***C on Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2013* this sticky card will trap every insect that is unfortunate enough to land on it.. there were 100s of wasps , flies , white flies , fungus gnats and various other undesirables on each one after only a week.. these sticky cards are impervious to water as well.. excellent organic way to control garden pests.. I have tried a few other sticky products but this is the best by far.. its a bit messy to handle , which you inevitably will have to do , so have some vegetable oil readably available to get it off of your fingers and hands as nothing else will work.. don't worry , its non toxic.. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice n' sticky, but only good for monitoring; read review for the true fix *by H***4 on Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2017* these are great monitoring cards, again MONITORING cards. These will NOT fix your fungus gnat problem, they will only alert you to their presence and help to reduce their nuisance of flying around. I have been battling houseplant fungus gnats for quite some time. I have tried just about everything, and I believe that I have ultimately found the fix. Day one, spray Bifenthrin on the soil surface to saturate. Day two spray imidacloprid on the soil surface. Day 3 spray Onslaught FastCap on the soil surface, and then cover the soil surface with about 3/4 - 1" of Quikrete play sand. Then if you have it, spray neem oil on the sand surface to saturate the sand. Place your monitor cards out several days after doing all this. You should not see one gnat! This method might not work very well for those of you with toddlers, or very young children that might play with the sand in the pots with all the pesticides.I know the process is somewhat a pain in the butt, but if you are serious about getting rid of your fungus gnat problem this is what I have found.
