A: We do not recommend adults sitting on these trunks, as they are not designed for that purpose. They can however be used as a table.

**Q: is assembly required?**
A: No assembly required. Comes complete. Very sturdy; still have mine after several years--though the strap to close is a bit fragile.

**Q: What kind of wood is used for inside support system?**
A: Is stained and covered with wicker or inside fabric, will guess that is is pine.  Had the product for months and used as a toy box with no probs with active grans.

Am very, very happy with the purchase of this trunk! It came well packed and in excellent condition with no bumps or scrapes. The inside liner is terrific because nothing snags plus can be easily washed to keep contents fresh. It's roomy and the top stays up when open. The leather "lock" was a bit stiff when it first arrived, but after a couple of months now, it's ok. Excellent product; excellent packing and shipping too!!

Nice product but for the money would expect a higher quality- the latch is stiff and anticpate the leather will eventualy break.
