Or does it only have the metal "spoon" part on the bottom for rigid support?** A: The wrist brace does have 2 semi-rigid plastic stays that when relaxed, are on the sides. My wrist is small so when I secure the brace, the stays are somewhat closer to the top than the sides. This is my 2nd Mueller brace and has been one of the best ones I have found and used.
