Review: Excellent Gaming PC! - This Is A fantastic gaming pc, you get some serious bang for your buck! But like everyone else mention it is undercooled and the processor does like to get hot. Has a Crappy Stock Cooling unit that cools the processor, Other than that its great! Can do pretty much anything you want it to do and play anything over 100fps depending on graphic settings in games, and with the components built into it, it would cost much more to build it yourself if you were to replicate it. Only thing I can suggest is a better stock cooling unit like a Noctua, to bring temps down to 60 or 70 c in extreme gaming, and maybe a new psu but so far, the 500w psu it came with is handling the graphics card (rtx3070) which is also fantastic.
Review: Misleading, runs extremely hot and suffers from lacklustre cooling that needs to be addressed - Buyers need to be very aware that this system has significant build issues that needs to be addressed, I'll go into better detail below. Like many others looking for an upgrade for their gaming rigs in a very unkind market right now, I was shopping around and normally wouldn't choose a pre-build because of a history of poor design and cut corners, and unfortunately the Acer Predator is just that. The specs appear quite reasonable for $1700 with a decent I7-11700F 'and' a RTX 3070? The issues though that really hold back this system and even actually require a further investment to fix the problem to prevent severe system degradation and possible instability down the line. Playing Call of Duty warzone, or Cyberpunk 2077 at ultra settings and I would totally expect temperatures to be in the 80s even with fairly good cooling, but 80s when just simply browsing the internet and/or in an idle state these temperatures are not good. Now could that be due to faulty fan and thermal paste? The box was shipped actually poorly, the desktop was placed in a giant box without any extra packing and the box clearly had some dents, but that being said stock intel cooling options are just not good enough for this processor. Firstly, with the desktop idle with power management set to 99% lowering the CPU frequency significantly and lowers the CPU temperature to a more stable level, when gaming I still had this hit around 50C which is still running hot considering the CPU speed has essentially been lowered dramatically and disables turbo mode. Secondly, with the desktop idle with power management set to 100% and fans manually set to 75% which increases the CPU frequency to over 4ghz and rapidly increases the CPU temperature to an unstable level without sufficient cooling this is extremely damaging to the processor and makes for a very unstable system that will thermal throttle constantly, the core temperature is averaging 85C and even hit 91C when playing Mass Effect Legendary Edition which had multiple hitching episodes due to the system thermal throttling, which isn't good at all and I can't imagine playing a spec intensive game on this system without running into serious problems. The main issue is the micro ATX case boasting just two 60mm case fans and a very weak cpu cooler and fan that just cannot keep the 11700F cool at all, this processor runs notoriously hot and because the cooler/fan solution isn't adequate at all, you are looking at an idle temp of 100+ right out of the box with the only two solutions being to lower the CPU power management down from 100 to 99 which cripples the CPU but will lower the temperature significantly and the second solution is to buy a far better cooling option which could again, cost $100+ not to mention requires some knowledge of installation or risk damaging the system and potentially voiding your warranty. Next is the 500w PSU which just isn't powerful enough for this systems specs, sure it'll run but it's extremely punishing on the power supply unit and adding to the thermal load which isn't helping either, this was a concern and still is, you always want enough power and the 3070 really needs a minimum of a 600w, a 650+ is recommended - the PSU that ships is literally under serious stress when gaming and that has the potential to make the system very unstable especially with the other issues so you are looking at another $70 to $100 to upgrade the PSU. For gaming, Its got all the specs for a good experience except the fact that if you try to run a heavily demanding game then it could quite possibly overheat the system very quickly. The case is a small micro case, this means its a small form desktop whilst for some people small is good, that means the upgrade options are limited especially with coolers and adding extra fans, with predator sense software that is provided, you can put the system into gaming mode which will make the fans spin up to 100% however they are so loud that you can literally hear them from several rooms away, it honestly sounds almost like a vacuum cleaner it is that loud. Considering I've had this system for less than a day and it's already showing signs of being unstable, just one hard crash or blue screen error and I will be returning this system, I cannot in good faith recommend this system, the saying if something sounds too good to be true....you know the rest and this system clearly has issues, the fact that have to lower the cpu in power management just to make the system cooler isn't good, and for the average user...you're looking at being forced to spend perhaps another $200 or more on several key upgrades to make this system a solid gaming rig...you might as well look else where. Final update to this review, I had also made an inquiry in the official acer forums about this, and I received a reply saying that the temperatures are way off what they would normally expect and suspect possible damage in transit and should contact desertcart for a replacement, already returned the system. As I posted earlier, the system arrived in an box that was shipped poorly, the desktop box inside a fair larger box with ample room to move about inside, and the box had dents and looks like UPS didn't handle the box carefully either, so it is highly likely it could have arrived damaged.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love this computer!
*by D***D on May 5, 2022*

I have no complaints. I upgraded the fan due to other reviews about the computer running hot and I know in the long run this can be dangerous to the health to the computer but cheap fix. After upgrading the fan I can fully say I love this computer and I have ZERO complaints! I mainly use this system for streaming and playing games like Ark, and apex legends, NO ISSUES! The price is fair at $1699 for what you get with this computer!
