Wonderful product - worth the money!
I ordered one of these in May. I did not use it until August when I was setting up my classroom. It would not heat much less melt the glue. I reached out to the company through Amazon and the product was replaced. The replacement works perfectly and heats up quickly. It's easy to use and can be used anywhere as it is not confined to a cord! The customer service I received was top notch! They responded to my inquiry within two hours and the replacement was shipped within the same day. Will not hesitate to purchase another product from this brand or seller!

Great Cordless Glue Gun! Used With Batteries I Already Have!
This is great! I have had several glue guns and this met all the expectations I had.I need a glue gun that:1. Is cordless2. Stands up on its own3. Heats up quickly4. Shuts itself off when I forget about itThis does all of that and also1. Doesn't require being plugged in to charge.I own all Dewalt cordless tools. I use glue guns for construction, crafts and random projects around the house. Hot glue is just a very versatile and useful way to hold stuff together. So far I have absolutely enjoyed the way this works and the features it has. Best glue gun I have ever owned!

It's so good, I'm looking for new hot-glue projects
Pros:- Stable. The heavy battery keep the glue gun upright when not in use. There is no cord to trip over.- Smooth. One long squeeze can get a lot of glue. It's hot enough to squeeze plenty of glue. No stopping mid-squeeze to wait for more glue to melt.- Enough battery life. Dewalt 3 Amp-Hour battery lasted for over 45min.- Non-drip tip. Actually - it doesn't drip. You still get some glue-strings as you pull away

If you have Milwaukee M18 tools/batteries and wand a decent hot glue gun this is it
If you have Milwaukee M18 tools/batteries and want a decent hot glue gun this is what you are looking for. I am amazed that the big power tool brands have not jumped on this market. However that has left it open to others to fill the void and in this case they have done so quite well.First off contrary to what others have reported this does have low voltage cutoff or protection for the battery (or at least mine does). There is a small circuit board in the handle that is in series with the heating element and testing with a variable voltage power supply shows that it shuts the glue gun down around 14 volts. I also let it run a 2.0 battery down and it shut off shortly after the last bar on the battery gauge started to blink indicating the battery was almost empty. At the cutoff if the battery is in good condition and healthy 14 volts overall corresponds to an individual cell voltage of 2.8 volts. This is in line with 2.7 volts per cell being as low as you normally want to go for modern power tool batteries. There is a slim possibility that if your battery is not in good condition and one of the cells is considerably weaker than the rest it may run out of power early and still have the overall pack voltage high enough that the glue gun does not shut off, thus possibly damaging the pack further. However if that happens the battery pack was probably not going to last much longer anyways.I did some additional testing of both the tip temperature and power consumption. The glue gun uses a PTC type heating element which heats up reasonably quickly. It took around 6-7 minutes to warm up enough to use high temp sticks and takes 20-30 to cool down to the point where I would be willing to pack it back up. The max temperature at the tip was about 325 which is plenty hot for high temp sticks. It does drop a bit if you run a large amount of glue through quickly. As it is a PTC type heater its power consumption rapidly drops off as it warms up. It only draws near 100 watts briefly when it is turned on and is still cold, settling down to less than 20 watts after 7 minutes. This is how almost all modern consumer grade glue guns operate and it works out quite well when running off a battery pack like this glue gun does. Once up to temp the power consumption is low enough that you can get usable run time on even a 2.0 battery. Personally I will probably use it with 5.0 batteries and do not expect to have any issues with run time.Overall it is quite impressive for the cost and a worthwhile purchase if you already have Milwaukee M18 tools and batteries. The mechanical construction is decent and the performance is on par with a corded 100 watt class consumer grade hot glue gun. It's not going to beat a higher wattage commercial grade hot glue gun.

Works great. Needs to heat up a little beyond the indicator light.
This works really well. I'm using it with Milwaukee batteries. Very convenient and comfortable. Only annoyance is that the indicator light changes when it thinks it's hot enough, but I actually have to give it another 20-30 seconds past that or the glue is still not ready, and this is with the glue that it came with. I think that pulling the trigger before the glue is melted would probably break it. If the trigger has a lot of resistance, do NOT try to power through it.

Amazing Non-Dewalt tool
Ok I was so skeptical about this purchase. I made a good choice. So I might want to mention the bigger the battery the faster it heats up. When you turn it on it gives you a red light. When it heats up it gives you a green light. It’s very smooth when it comes out! And they supply you with like 25 glue sticks. I wasn’t counting on that. For the price this is a very nice glue gun, if you have Dewalt batteries. I highly recommend this for your gluing projects.

This hot glue gun is amazing
I'm pleased with this purchase. Only used it once but it worked like a champ. There is a good flow of glue, even more than needed, so I had to be easy on the trigger. It's well built and worth what I paid for. Highly recommended.

Versatile, Quality Tool on par with OEM.
This review evaluates the “Cordless Hot Glue Gun for Makita 18V Battery” made by MELLIF.The product was shipped with no excessive or wasteful packaging and all components were contained snugly in the box. What’s in the box: one (1) cordless hot glue gun, twenty (20) six-inch long ½” diameter clear glue sticks, and user instructions.First impressions: Well made, solid, tool. The tool casing is made of high-quality rugged ABS plastic with non-slip textured grips on the handle. The tool has an oversized trigger that is easily graspable with your entire hand rather than just one finger. The tool has an ABS-clad glue nozzle that prevents accidentally melting adjacent materials. The tool has a positive siding ON/OFF switch on the left side bottom of the handle as well as a red LED on light on its front tool base. The tool sides and attaches to an OEM Makita 5.0aH battery easily and securely without binding or looseness. Overall the tool quality is on par with that of OEM Makita. How does it perform? After mounting a 5.0aH battery and turning it on, it took exactly 4 minutes to preheat the 100W glue gun ready for use. The tool fed the glue smoothly with ease and melted it at a consistent rate. I did not feel the need for a higher wattage output than the 100W delivered.I am evaluating this product as part of the Amazon Vine program so I am limited to a 30-day window to submit a review. Only time will tell if this product has similar longevity and effective service life as other competitive products on the market. Therefore I am going to monitor this product over the next 8-12 months of use and revise my review should problems arise.Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I am very impressed with the product. At a current price of $39.99, I feel it is very competitively priced when compared to other similar products in this class and the quality delivered. In summary: the “Cordless Hot Glue Gun for Makita 18V Battery” made by MELLIF is made of high-quality materials, compact, and does a great job. I would recommend this product without reservation.Pros 👍:✔ Rugged, well-made using quality materials.✔ Fit, finish, and build quality on par with OEM.✔ Rapid preheat of 3-5 minutes.✔ Ergonomic, non-slip handle, and oversized trigger.✔ Positive ON/OFF switch and LED ON light.✔ Easy, smooth glue feed with zero drips.✔ Suitable for home or trade use.✔ Includes twenty (20) 6” clear glue sticks.✔ Competitively priced in its class and good value.Cons👎:✘ None!
