While baby is traanstitioning into soft food these are helpful to catch and absorb the puree type of food, the silicon or other materials don't help at this stage. The absorbency is good. The plastic waterproof shield at the bottom keeps baby clean. It's easy to hand wash or machine wash these. Some types of food may leave stains. Do not wrong them after wash the back waterproof plastic gets wrinkled. Better to wash off immediately if soiled heavily otherwise the surface does get rough and hard. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absorbs the liquid *by A***R on Reviewed in India on 12 May 2021* I bought it 1 year back for my baby.
