The reason for that is because our experience testing other designs was that the glass would slip out and break frequently if not secured. But this is a standard size, 34 ounces just for reference. You know we debated that same question back-and-forth for a while. On one hand it was important to brand the product but on the other hand people were saying it wasn’t necessary to put the logo there. Anyway I do hear your point and we are working with the manufacturer to remove the logo going forward but we still have some in stock that we can’t do anything about it this point. The logo etched into that carafe so polarizing! Some people really love it and others like yourself really turned off by it so I guess the answer is just to not put it there at all. Anyway so if you wait a month or so it will be gone or if you want to reach out to me directly I can send you one personally that doesn’t have one on there :-) **Q: Is the entire thing dishwasher safe?** A: Hi! Yes it is but I still try to hand wash this is much is possible just to preserve the rose gold color. Note the glass is thicker than most out there in the market and it is safe for the dishwasher generally speaking. But having said that, I would still try to mix it up with some handwashing here and there :-) I had one customer contact me that they’ve been running it through their super hot dishwasher literally every day for the past year and they’ve had no problems. And another did the same thing for two years and said the rose gold color is just a tad bit less shiny than before but still the mechanism works perfectly.
