No konpeito!
There was no konpeito as advertised. I wouldn't have been too upset if it weren't for the fact that I love konpeito. Did I mention it was advertised? Also, there were more teeny tiny snacks than pictured. I would've been likely to give this product a better review if I had received what was pictured or something of comparable size (and the konpeito). I'm probably going to request a refund. Any seller that can't honor their listing doesn't deserve my money (or yours).

Not As Described, Shown or Advertised!
Ordered this product for as part of a birthday gift for my son's friend. What a mistake! Pictures attached of how it arrived, compare this to how it is pictured on Amazon - it arrived in nothing more than a cheap plastic shopping bag with two holes in it and taped at the top. Describing it as containing 21 pieces is a stretch at best, 8 of the items are clearly sold as one unit in stores as they are labeled that way at the top and all connected together in a long line. While nothing is technically expired, the dates are very close. Many expire in May 2020, I purchased in March 2020. We all know these items typically have a rather long shelf life, not 2 mos. Which means they were probably packaged a year ago. Will never purchase from this supplier again.

Didn't receive all items that were advertised
I didn't receive everything that the seller advertised. If you're going to make a list of items that are included, you need to ensure your product has everything you promise. My batch was missing the Konpeito tiny sugar candy Crystal's, as well as the jelly candy. The biggest let-down was the candy crystals because my niece who paid for this was looking forward to that the most.

Pretty good, considering the price
I'm a foodie and already knew some of the snacks here from growing up in Asia as well as visiting Japan a few times. The snacks were pretty good, and the price was decent considering it is shipped from Japan.Savory Snacks:The baby star noodles are always amazing (I definitely would have bought a pack with just these snacks). They're crunchy and addicting. The chocolate star stick was about what you'd expect if you've had these kinds of corn snacks in Asia before; it was a mix of sweet and salty, and obviously had a chocolate flavour to it. Not my personal favourite. Inside the second bundled pack, there's two more corn-like sticks, which are also both salty: one is cheese-flavoured, and the other is barbecue-ish flavoured, both of which were pretty good. Finally, the last cracker snack inside the bundle was basically bits of salted rice cracker; a pretty basic snack.Sweet Snacks:The strawberry balls were a little sweet and... interesting. Not the completely hard candy I was expecting, but almost milky in a half hard, half chewy kind of texture. Honestly still not sure how I feel about that, but the taste was fine. The konpeito candy (as well as the small bag inside the second bag of candy) was basically less sweet sugar rocks, which I've also had in Asia before. The Pokemon candies were powderish little tablets that kind of melt in your mouth; I enjoyed them. Moving inside the second package, again you have the konpeito candy, as well as a pretty standard peach hard candy and a standard jelly candy that had a mild soda flavour. The little strawberry gum was basic gum; the flavour runs out quickly, but it is tasty. The orange candy was also a powder-ish candy that I didn't exactly enjoy; it reminded me of a tablet you might put in water to make some kind of medicine drink that's supposed to taste good. Finally the little marshmallow candy had pudding in it, which was a shocker but also should not have been since it does have pudding on the wrapper...Anyway, that's my review on the package. Overall I enjoyed it, and got some familiar foods with some new ones. Of course the best way to try Japanese snacks is to go there yourself, but if you have no other options right now, this pack may be the right choice for you to get a little variety of snacks for a pretty good price.

Nostalgic treats
My roommate spent her early childhood in Japan. She misses Japan a lot. I thought this would be a great gift and bring back happy childhood memories. I was right! I got a three month subscription and its arrival is the highlight of her month. She loves it and it makes me happy to see her giddy like a little girl.

Wonderful! Came with EVERYTHING pictures
Wonderful! Came with EVERYTHING pictures, most in different packaging. Tasty snacks, but no chocolate. The only chocolate item I received was the sorta like a peanut butter chocolate Umaibo. Came with a strip of ramen snacks and a strip of Pokemon candy, which tasted similar to a smarties lolipop. It came with a package "Dagashi Oyatsu", with a pirate theme on it. I had ordered this by itself before, and It came with the same items with some flavor variety.Came in a small box- about 8" x 5".The only quarrel I had was typically, packages like this come before the date it says they will- Unfortunately, this was not the case! It said order placed Sept. 17th, it would arrive Oct. 3rd - 18th. It arrived on the 13th.

If you like to try new stuff this is for you.
I love dagashi so I figured this would be a good one to buy...and I was right! The Baby Star Ramen are delicious, I loved the Pokemon ramune and the umaibo are a favorite of my daughter and her friends. The konpeito candies are yummy. .I'd read they are usually unflavored but these had a hint of fruity flavor. I got my package 2 weeks after ordering so that was awesome and I already ordered one of the other assortments they offer.

Best on Amazon
This is super fun if your looking to experience the Japanese culture. There is a huge variety and both snacks and candy included. All seem fresh and I can't wait to dig in! If someone from the Ninjapo corporation sees this please send me info on how to get a monthly box. We are very impressed with your service and quality of products. 5 starts all the way.
