I like the consistency. I thought it was going to be like a lotion, but it is thicker...almost like body butter. It's white in appearance but left no white residue or flakes in my nephews hair. I didn't notice a smell. My nephew has curls that get frizzy if not controlled, and this flaxseed curl cream took away a lot of the frizz, but didn't define the curls to my satisfaction. However, we may not have added the amount of product that he needed. I do need a little more experience, especially on my own 4b coils, to fully review the product. It works better if you apply after shower while your hair is wet. It works even better if you comb your hair in the shower and NOT comb when you get out of shower. Towel blot then apply cream. This tip is for the frizzy curly girls only. However this cream could be enjoyed by other hair types as well. I just know from my personal experience (and being hair stylist) some de-frizz techniques that will help keep hair looking smooth all day.
