**Q: What is the inside diameter of the hook on the 12" cords?**
A: About 1" I think....they're out in the trunk so I'm guessing.

**Q: What is the fully extended length of the 12 inch?**
A: Stretching can go to 15in to 16in

**Q: Are these made of actually made of rubber or nylon or another stretch material?**
A: It's not the hard rubber bungee's, it's the nylon woven ones.  Good quality looks heavy duty, I can't complain.

**Q: Can it stretch to 48 inches - need it for stabilization of items on a tall shelf ?**
A: No, can't stretch near that far.

I’ve tried several different manufacturers of bungee cords in my life and these have a noticeable weight, appearance and feel about them that is not with other cords I’ve tried. The stretch is very stout and the hooks on each end is very well made. I will definitely follow up with an update on this review after I use them awhile. The waterproof fabric and ultraviolet resistance is a great addition to these also.
