The power supply provided is 12V and most home speakers are 8 ohms, bringing the rated power output down to 20W per channel. This is still loud. I measured around 84 dBA average playing a rock song (Great Van Fleet). If you buy a 24V DC, 5A or more power supply you can get more volume. I measured around 91 dBA with same song. This is not specific to this product; nearly all mini amps of this type work the same way. I have had this mini amp just over a month. I use it exclusively via Bluetooth paired with a set on Affinity speakers to play backing tracks for guitar practice. It pairs every time and works great for the price. Audio EQ is not great, especially in the bass and presence ranges but mids through treble are not bad.
