**Q: Would the 9x12 or the 11x14 be sturdy enough to add a 2  inch or 2-1/2 inch  D-ring binder assembly?**
A: Probably.  It is heavy-duty book binding board with a cloth cover, however the larger the box the more fragile it is especially if you are opening and closing it frequently.  Your better bet would be to purchase one made of plastic...

A: The inner dimensions are 9 x 12.

**Q: Can these boxes be stored on edge a bookcase? Also, is the silica gel pack that’s included really safe for preserving photos?**
A: Yes, the boxes can be stored vertically on a bookshelf. I don't know about the safety of the silica gel pack.
