Not sure about the “Z”. I suspect it will be fine. I just bolted mine on and made a small adjust and it ran just fine. No problem **Q: Will this replace the carb. In a fs44?** A: Since the description does not specifically list fs44 as a compatible model I would not chance it. All these carbs look like but they are not. You may be able to get more information at the Stihl website. These carb swaps are real easy if you get the right part. If you have to spend a few more dollars to get something that works it’s worth it. **Q: The black plastic fitting on the high speed adjustment screw is in the way of the air filter assembly. Can the plastic fitting be removed?** A: You can but after removing this adjustment knob, you might need a special tool to adjust the high speed needle valve. Disclaimer: some states do not like for you to make your own adjustments. **Q: I read the reviews and one said "not as advertised the unit that the customer bought did not have brass fuel lines" - can you please validate?** A: Well. Thank you so much, it works great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by A***B on 7 July 2022* I used this product on my stihl fs 45c unlike some of the reviews, mine was not in tune out of the box, but after running every screw in (gently) and turning 1 and 3/4 - 2 full turns out on everything that got me a good starting point to were it would fire atleast, and I was able to tune it from there and after maybe 45 mins total it now works great (atleast for the moment) now the one thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is the h and l screws are NOT marked. So if your new to tuning carbs like I am that could be a BIG issue, especially since it's such a little detail to add to their casting. If I were the manufacturers I would seriously consider adding that detail.
