These are cute and attractive trifles as toy guns go. Their retro look is enhanced by their simple construction, but I I dropped the largest one of these while doing a video for this review and I was concerned that it might have broken when I reached to pick it up. I was kind of amazed by the orange tip warning officers that the guns don't work. These look so much like anitque props that the orange barrel tip suggests it's a real gun more than the gun itself. Now for little children, these are probably great in looks, though I doubt the biggest of them will stand up well in use. And for those who, like my mother, really dislike toy guns altogether and especially dislike toy guns that look like real guns, all three are probably great--including the fact that the largest one won't last all that long.... So I'm lukewarm toward these: cute and attractive, adults and little kids will like their looks, not very realistic and the biggest gun (with the rope sling) seems fragle.

This is a gorgeous wooden gun-set, like the ones they had 1950's and even earlier! There is a great amount of nostalgia I feel when holding one of these! They are great fun, well made and my kids love them! My boys - like most elementary school aged children, enjoy toy guns and play fighting. I try to educate them about violence but they still have their Nerf guns and such. In my opinion, I would much rather have my kid's playing with these wooden toy guns outside my home - as opposed to the more realistic plastic toys! Also these wooden guns are much more durable than the typical plastic toys of today. The quality of the guns is great - as I already stated. My only constructive feedback would be that the orange rubber tips which come on the guns, should really be glued in place (as they were lost very quickly since they slide right off). Not a major issue at all and easy to do an at-home repair if needed. 5-stars, a great gift idea!

We got two packs of these for my 5 year old twins' birthdays. I was greatly disappointed when one of the long guns was broken within the week, he was knocking down mushrooms with it. I get, it's made for role playing shooting not knocking down mushrooms but a toy for kids should be made sturdier. The description states 8 and up and I was also disappointed with the length of the strap, while it worked decent enough for 5 year kids it would be wayyy too small for 8 and up. My 3 boys love wooden guns, every one I buy is overpriced to break within days or months.
