**Q: Can Petoskey stones be tumbled?**
A: Petosky stones are best polished by hand, using increasingly finer grits of sandpaper. You can then rub a small amount of TurtleWax car polish on it with a soft cloth, piece of denim or piece of leather. Or you can spray them with a clear acrylic sealer. Harder stones are best for tumblers. And use similar hardness of stones in each batch (like one batch mostly agates or jaspers, etc.). Too soft of stones mixed with harder ones can cause the smaller stones to break down into tiny pieces instead of polish. If you're new to rock tumbling, look up the Moh's Hardness Scale if you know the type of rock you are tumbling (quick general is that agates are not see through or translucent, while jaspers, quartz, etc IS translucent (light can pass through).

**Q: Does it really have a lifetime warranty? I have purchased items on Amazon and elsewhere a with lifetime warranty and manufacturer ignores all requests**
A: Yes,the rock tumbler really have a lifetime warranty.

**Q: Can you reuse the walnut shell media?**
A: Yes, you can keep using it. It will, however, become less effective as it gets dirty.

**Q: what is the trick for getting the lid sealed on the drum? I am unable to get the lid seated on the drum: force, petroleum jelly, hammer.**
A: Make sure no debris are on the sealing area, then push the lid into drum by pulling on edge at times. Then the lid and nut exert pressure keeping contents sealed. New drums require a dab of work as they are stiff.
