The furniture is exposed to the elements including high wind. This thing held up all season (April to November), kept the furniture dry, is light weight enough for one person to easily put it in place once furniture is slid into a square. Two draw strings and multiple Velcro straps make it easy to secure. It was not strong enough to withstand off season elements in the northeast but that was my bad! My space is completely uncovered and faces the shore. I highly recommend but don’t expect duck covers. This is lightweight polyester. Awesome for the price. We had rain for 2 nights straight and I didn't uncover for a week and when I did, everything was dry and perfectly maintained. Under my cover is a 3 person and 2 person wicker couches, a large coffee table and 2 end tables. Still have a little room for chairs **Q: Is it waterproof?** A: No, mine was not waterproof at all. The sealant or whatever it is on this fabric stuck together and as i unfolded it out of the package that sealant or lining immediately started getting little pinholes or cracks in it and never worked as a waterproof cover. This only works as a way to keep something clean but i don't recommend it at all for weather protection **Q: How about the windproof effect? Will it tear easily?** A: The video shows the factory test results **Q: Can these covers be washed?
