They were pretty bulky and big so I measured her when she was home and we started running low. I took her largest measurement, which were her hips, at 36.5 inches. The medium states 34 - 47 inches so I thought they would be perfect. Unfortunately they are very small and I can barely close them around her. So if your measurements are anything larger than about 35 inches, I recommend the large and NOT the medium.
