Also, this may not give the true color of this product if you are going over another non-natural wood color. We would recommend a solid color stain to ensure the correct color. **Q: Do they sell 5gal buckets** A: no **Q: What type of solvent would I need to clean an automated sprayer out after using this product (warm water/thinner/solvent/etc.)?** A: Hi Joel, Kilz Waterproofing Wood Stain is a water-based product and will clean up with soap and water. No need to use any harsh solvent as long as you clean your sprayer soon after you finish application. **Q: Do you need to prime the wood first?** A: NO...Just slap it on. It's very thin, and a little goes a long way. You need a second coat, but it dries fast. I still have about a third of a gallon left after 2 projects, and I was worried that I should have bought 2 gallons for my first job. It also stands up well. I have it sitting in the full Florida sun all day, and it hasn't shown any signs of fading. Best stuff I have ever used, and highly recommended.
