The chair is too low to get out of comfortably with bad knees. Very low. I have a 2" cushion on the seat to provide some height to make it easier to get out of the chair, still too low. I am still searching for a "Riser" to give it maybe 1.5" more height to both the chair and foot rest. Because of the circular base that is proving to be a fruitless search. **Q: Does the swivel lock when you are seated . Does the chair spin or move when your seated ? That would be uncomfortable.** A: The chair can swivel when you seated, but you must physically make it move. More importantly, the chair is Very low and my 5'4" finds it difficult to get out of.
