That's what we did. It is a very simple item to change. Took only 10 minutes. There is 2 screws on the side of it that you have to loosen and 1 modular plug with wires in the back of it that unplugs and 1 leveling screw and bracket on the bottom that will level it if you need to. It will take at least take 24 hrs to get ice you can use. It has to purge air and will take that long. It says to throw 1st batch of ice cubes away.
