Review: Extra STURDY! - Well made, extra sturdy closure, NOT flimsy plastic, dishwasher safe. What's not to like?! I like lid locking mechanism like these. Traditional lids get weak around the lifting corners and then the plastic breaks. This makes it really difficult to open that lid. No problem like that with these sandwich containers. I bought two of these as a gift for my husband. No complaints from him. So the flaps are easy to lift with his bigger fingers. I'm trying to get far way from single use plastics. Now my only wish is for manufacturers to package their products in store drop-off plastics for recycling.
Review: They work well for us - These containers are working well for us. I can see where they might be hard to open for some people, but I would think more people (including me) would find typical Rubbermaid seals even more of a pain to deal with, in trying to get your finger under the seal to pry it open (a process which tends to cause them to crack - because of the way these Biokips containers lock, there is no stress on the lid). They seem super sturdy, and after maybe 5 cycles through the dishwasher, they don't look like they are suffering at all. My only fear is that the plastic in the hinges will break after a lot of usage. They are probably deeper than necessary for a typical sandwich, but the extra height is nice for packing a generous amount of a salad; I was actually surprised when I started filling one just how much it could hold. It helps (in terms of capacity) that the lid rests on top of the sides, unlike ziploc/rubbermaid where because of the way it seals, the lid ends up taking up the top part of the container interior (hopefully that makes sense). Bought a second set already.

very please with all the komax containers I've purchased,. From large to small: no issues with lids, no liquid leakage, I have large ones for flour, sugar, rice, stored in them in the pantry. Celery, carrots, tofu, stored in medium sizes in refrigerator. Usually there's lots of small ones with beans, greens, veggies ready in the refrig to mix and match for stirfry, or soup. Thank you for such a great product.
