The 8G was thicker even though that's not the way it normally works with thicknesses. They don't lay flush at the bottom inside of the tub, when you open it to get out it's literally pushing itself towards you and does not lay uniformly. I prefer this style which is like satin, thin yes but with the weights/magnants hangs uniformly from top to bottom.
