## Overview

The Quantum Apogee Underwater Full Spectrum Meter MQ-510 is a professional-grade, IP68 waterproof PAR meter designed for accurate underwater light measurement up to 30 meters depth. Featuring a rapid 0.5-second response time, refined spectral and cosine response, and integrated datalogging, it’s built for outdoor aquatic research and monitoring. Powered by batteries and housed in a durable acrylic body, it includes a protective carrying case for field-ready convenience.

## Description

The MQ-510 quantum meter is designed for underwater PAR measurements and already applies the sensor's immersion effect correction factor to the meter readings through firmware. The meter provides excellent measurements under all light sources, including LEDs. The meter consists of a waterproof quantum sensor attached via waterproof cable to a handheld meter. The waterproof sensor incorporates a blue-enhanced silicon photodiode and custom optical filters with a rugged, anodized aluminum body with acrylic diffuser. The underwater quantum sensor is typically used in salt water aquariums where corals are grown. Note: The handheld meter is not waterproof, only the sensor and cable are waterproof.

Review: Must have for SPS collectors - Works much better than the original Apogee PAR meter. The original meter was reading 135 above what this PAR meter read. After adjusting my lights with the new meter, my corals are back to growing again.

Works much better than the original Apogee PAR meter. The original meter was reading 135 above what this PAR meter read. After adjusting my lights with the new meter, my corals are back to growing again.

### ⭐ A used sensor to me?

Not a good purchase experience at Amazon. A old model was sent to me as new model should have blue sensor. Scratch everywhere which to me means this is not a new old. Seems used one. Box unsealed before send as you can see there’s two round label (image should blue sensor). On box.
