Review: Solid, subtle beauty, good writer - I was surprised at the quality feel of the pen. The red color is very deep and it almost looks black until it is brought into good light. The “fireworks” are quite nice though subtle. It writes very smoothly - I loaded it with Noodlers Black just to get a sense of that. No burping, hard starts, or skipping. I got the F nib and am very happy with it. Review: Great pen with one area of concern - I went with the matte black version. It is a great looking matte with some shiny black finials that looks great. I am however actually using the second one I received as the first came with a broken piston. Unlike some other pens from Asvine / Wingsung / Hongdian and even other Majohn - Moonman pens, the piston unit is made of plastic and not metal. I have removed the piston about 10 times carefully and have not had any issues but from the first pen I received and comments from others, this is an area of concern. The pen is medium length but thicker than average with a good solid weight to it. Sounds weird but the feel of screwing the cap on this pen is sublime. The nib was fine with a little tweaking but I have since changed it with an easy swap to a Kaigelu Long-knife nib. I feel comfortable to write intensively without worrying breakdown of the parts. It has a subtle pattern that is beautiful to look. The nib and the feed are working fine together to deliver whatever one wants to write or draw. Well worth the cost and waiting for the pen to come from china.
