Do understand that the max resolution the X2 supports is 1080i or 720P. Shoot a 1080P signal at the X2, it will choke. Shoot an HDCP signal at the X2, it will choke. I suspect one of those two issues was your problem, not the connector itself. **Q: I bought this for infoucis LP340B projector but it did not fit. The projector's plug seems bigger. Can you tell me why?** A: It should fit according to the spec sheet. It is directional so be sure the large blade end is lined up to the receptacle on the projector plug. **Q: I have a projector focus in35, will this work to convert it to hdmi and would transfer sound?** A: It should connect to your machine and transfer sound. I use it all the time on my infocus, as my laptop only has an HDMI connection and the sound transfers.
