The box it comes in was sealed. There is a plastic cover under the lid. I like the vivid green glass jar. The cream is actually a clear gel with a lightly perfumed scent that dissipates quickly. The gel melts quickly, spreads easily, and absorbs quickly. It is a bit tacky until it settles. It appears to tighten pores and leaves a nice glow. I think this would work very well under makeup too. The price is competitive. So it seems like a bit of the best of both worlds.The scent is a fresh, slightly floral smell. I usually don't like floral scents but this isn't super overwhelming or potent so I don't mind it.The jar is a bit small but I can tell from how it massages in that you likely won't need to use a lot at a time and so it should last a decent period for the jar size even if you use it daily.It doesn't take long to absorb into your skin which is nice to avoid the greasy vibes and left my skin feeling very smooth.I have tried this just applying to my bare face and under makeup to truly test it. Obviously everyone will differ depending on if you use water or oil based products. But I found that it actually helped my makeup stay clean for longer. Some Moisturizer will break down and start making your makeup cakey or settling into your lines and pores. Surprisingly this actually didn't do that!
