They are going to be doing impromptu debates in class, which will be a first for her, and I’m an advocate for always being prepared if you’re going to voice a strong opinion. So I bought her her first pocket Constitution! And one for her friend, who is dorky like I am and loved it. I love that it has both the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence in it, because some do not. It fits right into the folder part of her three ring binder and she can keep it there at all times. I love that she has such a useful primary source right at hand during this class and whenever else she’d like. She can make educated opinions instead of emotional ones. Heck after this, she’ll probably be far more informed on the Constitution than most adults.
