I am expecting that as the tip of the shaft had never been removed, it was pumping uncontaminated chocolate into my drinks. Not leave these simply on the counter next to the sink, which I did. In taking this picture… I realized this was intended to go into the fridge each night for proper protection. I'll have to clear out a space in the refrigerator to put this, which may make it very thick, if I want to keep using this large chocolate syrup for my mochas. BTW, the pump on the counter was very sturdy and consistent. I'm concerned that the syrup thickness in my fridge may give the pump a challenge, so I'll see what happens May I suggest that all brands put a LARGER 'REFRIGERATE AFTER OPENING' Notice on the syrup bottle.
