They don't ride up. And if you have a belly--as I do--I find these very accommodating. There are lots of pants and shorts in the same brand and same style that fit me very well when I was skinny that now do not fit so well that I'm chubby. So, I was quite glad to stumble upon these. But, they were a treat to myself. They're expensive, so it may not be practical to stock your entire underwear drawer w/ these bad boys.
