Exactly what I was looking for, but might not be for you.
So, I was in search of the smaller trioxane bars for small fire starters. That is exactly what these are.If you are looking for the full size bars, this is not them. This one box, is the equivalent of one larger bar, broken into three size pieces, and individually sealed.Let's be real, if it's for camping fire starters, unless you dredged up petrified lumber from the bottom of a lake, these will get your fire going.I purchased these simply because after opening one full size package, breaking off a piece to start a fire, and yes, honestly forgetting to zip lock what was left when I was done camping, I would have a small piece left the next time I wanted to start a fire.My laziness, yup, costs me more money, but is more efficient for sure.Recommend this for a gift too!

The old 3 part Trioxane bar
The old 3 part Trioxane bar. Still low flame and deadly in confined areas, but you can break off the size piece you need. Open tablets don't hold up well in foil packet as they evaporate but usually disintegrate and volatile powder gets into every thing long before evaporation occurs. If you really like this stuff better than the gel you better stock up as these are only found as surplus items.

Guaranteed fire
I carry these in my pack as part of my fire kit. My first preference is to get firestarter with natural tender and a fire steel. In the search and rescue community however, you don't always have the luxury of making a fire slowly. Sometimes you come across a hyperthermic patien, and yout need need a fire fast! During our last training exercise I started a fire in the driving rain with one of these trioxane tablets with minimal effort. Granted, I have fire making skills and know the fundamentals already, but these tablets made my fire quick and easy.Use caution as a lid tablet will not have a visible flame, so a new user might not realize it's lit and try to touch it.

Works great
Quality surplus product. I've gone through 3 boxes while camping. If you are relying on a fire during your trip this is the way to go. I've used vaseline/cotton balls, dryer lint and other fire starting products which all works fine but Trioxane is what I keep in my truck and pack at all times.

Burns too fast
Make sure if you use this to start a fire that you have plenty of dry wood and small twigs and sticks in place, if the wood is damp or wet do not expect much. Still works well but does go by fast, so make sure your ready to feed the fire as needed.

Best fire starter you can get
This is probably the best fire starter material you can get. I bring some of these along on backpacking trips to make starting a fire after hiking all day a no brainer. Who wants to put in a bit of a fight to get a fire going when you are dead beat tired? Even a small piece of this stuff will burn on its own for several minutes, and you just have to barely lick this stuff with a flame for the whole thing to light right up.This isn't the fire starter stuff you get all walmart or any sporting goods places, this stuff is hands down amazing compared to that stuff, and a way better way to go than cotton balls with jelly or any other messy do it yourself stuff. Also great for emergency kits and home prepping

It's half of what is in the picture.
This is NOT the same size you get/got issued in the military. They were about 2 inches long, these are about 1"x1". Yes, it seems to be the same stuff and will probably work fine, but don't expect the regular 2" bars. The number on the box is even different, being 9110-00-889-3553 rather than the # shown in the picture. Like I said, it will do, but I won't be buying from this seller again.

Can Count On This Flame
I bought a bunch of G.I. Trioxane Heating Fuel Bars a couple of years ago via Amazon.com and always have at least a bar in my backpack, car, boat and motorcycle. With any kind of a spark or flame this bar will light and throw off enough heat to burn kindling and get a bigger fire going. I have tested this product in snow and rain. Even after being submerged in water and wet (don't ask) and broken into smaller pieces and it has ignited every time. I prefer to start fires using what is around me but it is comforting knowing you have another back-up plan. Great product but guessing that at some time it will be banned from shipping or sale so consider stocking up if you want to have a sure way of getting a fire going.
