There is so little information available regarding financial/tax issues for multi-country families I pre-ordered the book and am glad I did. It is written logically, and for those of us not daily immersed in financial matters Mr. Fisher has written this for easy comprehension. In addition, the book is quite comprehensive, causing me to consider issues I would never have known about. I strongly recommend this book to any who are coming to, or coming from the USA, in order to get a grip on the financial/tax issues that cross border life/work creates. So the book is really just an advertisement ... *by J***E on June 9, 2018* The book raises many of the problems to be encountered by international families but not very much in the way of specific solutions. For example, they will tell you that if you are a non-resident alien holding US assets, the income from those assets will be subject to US withholding taxes of 25% unless you are in a country with a tax treaty with the US. Instead of putting in a table showing the applicable rates for the tax treaty countries, they leave it to you to contact a tax consultant and their general comment on tax consultants is that most aren't up to the job because it is too complex - not very useful.
