The History Mystery Kids 1: Fiasco in Florida

Not holding my grandchildren interest, very little history. Obscure battle near Saint Augustine, bay of pigs scare, and opening of railroad glossed over for story about alligator. We bought hoping would be educational. We read together age6 and 10. Live in Fla.

My kids really enjoyed the story and characters. This book takes the characters to several places and times in one well-written, fun story while keeping the book at the same reading level in terms of length and attention span. We like some of the other Kenney books that are out there and read a lot of series while also buying many 1st books to try a new (or old) series out (I do not have a library card, so I buy the books to try them out instead). This particular one was one that grabbed the kids' attention and have them asking for the next ones.

My daughter and I absolutely love all of Daniel Kenney’s books! He has truly mastered the art of writing books that are both educational and FUN! We have read the Math Inspector series as well as the Science Inspectors and we loved them all! This was our first History Mystery Kid’s book and we are already off to order more! Fantastic books! Highly recommend!

I'm a 4th grade teacher in Florida. We teach Florida history all year. This book is a great addition to our class library. The characters are so funny and my students love to hear about the adventures that these kids go on in the books. The entire series is fantastic!

Me and my kids loved this book. I read it to my kids for our history class in homeschool. I will be using the whole series. Cant wait to read the next one.

Bought this for my 8 year old, and he couldn't put it down!

Once again Dan knocked it out of the park! My grandkids are chomping at the bit waiting for me to order the next book in the series.
