I am 5'10 and cannot move the seat further back as there is no more adjustment on the back rest. I ended up modding extra length on the footrest straps to get it to where it is comfortable. The strips are on the deck & underneath the seat. You would need to attach Velcro to the blocks in order to hold the seat in position. There are straps on both sides of the seat, front & rear but I doubt the seat would be stable without the Velcro. Also 4 inches is quite high & might effect stability.
