She wore it to prom and felt confident and beautiful! However, without hemming up the shoulders, it did not fit great along her belly or back and had a lot of unflattering bunching in the front and back. Once the shoulders were hemmed, it fit perfectly. I decided to go with the size 16 and get it altered. Also, the size 16 length is better as i can wear heels with it but FYI - the inside material still ends around my ankles while the tulle is much longer which is kind of annoying. I think I could get away with maybe a 2 inch heel, maybe 3 inch. Overall, the pros definitely outweigh the cons so very excited to wear it! Got this dress for a black tie wedding and just received it! I’m 5’2” and about 183 lbs with most of my weight in butt and thighs and got a size 14. This dress is beautiful and pretty stretchy! I did order a size 16 to try because although I would wear this, it does bunch up below my stomach and pucker at my lower back a little bit. Luckily there’s plenty of time to make a final decision on size so I will update when I receive the larger size. Also, this dress brushes the ground and if I wear heals, it will be above the ground. I was surprised since most of the reviews mention the dress being too long.
