I wanted steps that would not only be pretty but would be sturdy enough to outlast my granddaughter and stii remain beautiful.First, it took me 40 minutes to put the steps together and that was including inventorying all the parts and reading the directions. The directions were easy to follow and with a power screwdriver it was so easy to put together. I have to mention that when I received both Crackle Rose products I ordered I wondered what the heck the red ribbon was that was sticking out of the box and taped to the address/invoice label. I soon discovered it led to the hardware of the each product I bought - so no hunting for the screws, nuts, bolts, etc., ~ I thought what a novel idea!My granddaughter now has two pieces and more are on her wish list and I will be purchasing more as well. Both pieces these steps and the toy chest, which I consider very high use pieces of furniture are holding up very well!Because I want it to last for many, many years and the recomendation is to wipe with a damp cloth only and I saw some flaking, so I decided I wanted to add a thin coating satin varnish on both the steps and the toy box and SHAZAM‼️that was the right thing to do! Three weeks after my granddaughter had 2 friends over and one decided to test her artistic skills on the lid of the toy box (on "accident" the little girl said) because she wanted to "make the flowers more bootiful." All I could say to myself was thank God I had already put the varnish on and as such was able to use something heavier to take the marker off!The company is easy to deal with and the product is furniture quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ very easy to put together *by J***W on November 6, 2017* very easy to put together. took about 10 min. seems to be sturdy.
