These unusual funnel shaped flowers stand erect on tall stems and lush sword shaped foliage. They are superb in borders or planters on your patio or terrace. Freesia is not fully hardy in the UK and it needs to be lifted and stored before first frosts. Excellent Cutflowers. Fragrant. Planting: Indoors - plant in autumn (August to December) for flowers in the spring (January - April); Outdoors - plant in spring (from late March onwards) for a beautiful cutflowers in the summer. Freesia is not fully hardy in colder areas of the UK. It is usually recommended to lift the plants in the autumn, either when the leaves yellow, or after the first frost.

**Q: Are these freesias really fragrant?**
A: Freesias are really fragrant however I only had one flower from all my bulbs but it was scented

**Q: Storage- for how long can I keep the bulbs in their paper package before planting these freesia bulbs?**
A: You should be able to store them somewhere cool, dry and dark, wrapped in paper, for up to a year. 
Of course this depends on how long they have been stored for previously. 
To be on the safe side, plant in enough time to enjoy them before the first frost. Most freesia bulbs won’t survive frosts.
