Crossing my fingers, it helps my phone long term. *by M***. on Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2022* Days after buying my brand new, shiny Galaxy S22 Ultra, my phone slipped off a couple boxes landing face down on the upper left-hand corner of the screen. The guerilla glass didn't seem to appreciate its short kiss of the cement patio. That corner of the glass shattered. I thought, "I better find a case protector to keep this from happening again."My criteria were simple. I wanted a cover that was not bulky, but still protective. I bought the green phone, so I didn't want the color to be covered up. The back of the phone is pretty slippery, so having a little more grip, when I set it down would be helpful. I wanted it to fit my phone precisely, so that all features were still accessible. I really didn't want a cover that prevented me from swiping the side curve of the screen for that extra menu that slides over.This cover seems to match most, if not all of what I was looking for. It's clear, although I probably could have been quite happy with the dark green one, which almost appears to be semitransparent. I don't know. The case does not add any significant bulk to the phone, so it feels good in my hand and slides nicely into my back pocket. There's only a raised edge on the top and bottom on the screen, so my curved edge is still easy to swipe my side menu. Will those to raised edges be sufficient to protect my screen if it slips off a box like last time? I don't know yet. I read other reviews that claim this case is every bit as slippery as the original phone. I find that to be completely incorrect. I have a much surer grip, while holding it, and when I place the phone and a slightly slanted surface, it tends to hold in place quite well. No slipping like before. The phone used to frequently slip out of my back pocket, when I sat down on firm chairs. I no longer experience that with this phone case installed. I'm pleased, even though I wish I had it a week earlier. Perhaps my phone would not have slipped off a box, and even if it did (not likely), it might have prevented it from damage. In my situation, having a little more grip with this phone might actually be my greatest means to prevent damage....and a fall. I'm confident that if the phone fall flat on its back or even hitting a corner, my odds of damage are now significantly reduced. If it falls like last time, where the face kisses cement? I can only hope at this point in time.I'm quite happy with my purchase. I originally avoided looking at protective cases for two reasons. One, my last case for my S7 was quite bulky. I didn't want that. I worried that I would lose some function or visibility with my curved face with a phone. This particular case solves a few minor problems that I had (especially being slippery in my hand and on most surfaces), and it avoided some of my biggest concerns. It fit my phone perfectly. I had to laugh at other comments that complained no instructions were given. What instructions are need? As long as you ensure all the holes of the case are in the right spot, the phone slips into place. It fit so well that it was not as tight as my last case, yet it held in place perfectly.If I took this case off and inadvertently lost it (I'm just making up a ridiculous scenario that won't exist, so bear with me as I explain my thoughts.), I might choose the Dark Green version of this phone. It seems to be semitransparent, so my green case should still show through. The clear one was $5 cheaper, but cost was less important than looks to me. I didn't want to change the color of my phone, and after reviewing my options more closely I might choose differently. Would I buy from a different seller? Probably not. The case is a very nice quality, It has taken a little bit of a beating, and still holds up perfectly. I can be a bit of a clutz around my phone, so a case and screen protectors are necessary for me. I have dropped it several times, the case has held up, and there is no damage to my phone. The Case is perfectly sized to allow you to use both a screen protector on the front, and a camera protector on the back. The buttons, and all of the ports remain easy to access, even while in the case. The cutouts are perfect and S pen removal is easy. Its crystal clear and showcases the color of the phone. It provides a good grip, so you don't feel like it is going to slip out of your hand. We had the phone a week before we got the case and the phone itself was slick. This case solved that problem. Durability and protection from a fall is to be determined. It is not a thick/heavy case so a fall from any height could cause damage. I'm not going to purposely drop the phone to do a test so actual protection is a ?.
