I am not one of those people that can blow dry their hair with a round brush so this makes that experience easier. It looks bulky but it pretty lightweight. I sectioned off my hair into about 1 in sections at first to get a feel for it and did yank a few strands out but got the hang of it by the next section and detangled with my tangle tweezer brush before going in with the dryer. You can detangle as you go with the hair dryer but it’s easier for me to detangle before. I took a few breaks as I haven’t blow dried my hair in over 6 years since going natural so there is a learning curve. The high heat gets hot where you can see the smoke but it doesn’t bother me. My hair dried quickly and you can get very close to the root.
