They come with a nice silicone lid for storage, too. The ceramic is thick and durable. Dishwasher safe, they clean up very well. They are worth every penny I paid for them.

A: They are 2 1/2" deep. With an area of 2 5" .

A: It tapers from the top, but it's about 4 1/2 " on the interior.  It's 2" deep to the interior rim and 2 1/2" deep to the very top.
