They have plenty of decent pockets, the leg pocket has a zip so my phone goes in there. They're flexible as my sizing can fluctuate depending on the current level of my lazyboneitus and the crotch is reinforced. The amount of crothces I go through on trousers is astounding (I must have radioactive testes). Finally they're water repellent. I often work in the community walking around or using my bike and the British weather can be unpredictable and rainy during summer so these will suffice. If I need to put my waterproofs on I will but for the sake of a quick cloudburst these will do. I bought a bigger waist which has given me more room but I have had to take the leg up as they were too long (using hemming web). I have 3 pairs now. Two black, one of which is elasticated so convenient for walking or just dossing around and these.
