I put this support roll on top of a regular lumbar cushion. Between the two, they push out firmly against my lumbar region when I am reclined. This helps greatly reduce the tension that would normally be applied to my lumbar with just the lumbar cushion alone.

**Q: Aside from the different material, what else is different from the less expensive Mckenzie support rolls?**
A: It is more firm and sturdy. The upgraded fabric is nice. I made a mistake and bought one that’s too big, and it’s uncomfortable.

I have moderate spinal stenosis. There is significant curvature in my lumbar region. I put this support roll on top of a regular lumbar cushion. Between the two, they push out firmly against my lumbar region when I am reclined. This helps greatly reduce the tension that would normally be applied to my lumbar with just the lumbar cushion alone.
