FISHKAM Aquarium Wireless Remote Monitoring Camera - 720P HD Fisheye 180° Fish Tank Monitor (Android, iPhone & iPad)

This fun lil device comes in at a fraction of the price of the next closest thing! Not waterproof but it has speaker. I like to mess with my girlfriend with the "push to talk" button. My fish appear to be interested in it oddly.So it makes it nice that they constantly swim over to it. Only con is sometimes there is a possible reflection you can see depending on how the lights in the room are set up. Still gave it 5 stars because I honestly expected a lot less for the price.Had to edit this review. Product does get hot after long runtime. I do not keep it stuck to or to close the glass

Took awhile to setup the first time. But I can say after 2 weeks I have worked the bugs out of the system. As far as choppy reports yep true. My router was originally 25' away. I set up an access point less then 10 feet away to fix this now it's not choppy. I guess that the trade off for a cheap cam. As far as the heat yes these get very warm. I'm going to try to remove in night led's to see if that helps. I will also say I don't see any ul listing on this product, maybe that has to do with the heat issue. The app does have room for improvement and I hope they improve the help information down the road instead of a generic manual. It seems like the camera is used over multiple platforms.For those of us that have larger tanks consider getting a usb extension cable. The cable is less then 3 feet.I will add is the cam needs to be close to the tank even in the middle of the day otherwise it turns on night vision my tank is a 180 and couldn't get color to work in the middle of the day.Lastly quality control might be an issue. I have 2 of these cams, the second one the base fell apart. In fact is was missing the cover for the weight that was in the base.

Suction isn't strong, it literally falls off every hour the app is improved and its nice, but pointless because the camera falls off. So I end up looking at my floor lol. I have unplugged it and gave up on it. What sucks is the image was really clear and beautiful when it was on the aquarium, but again most of the time I am viewing my floor. Word to wise the camera does get really hot when it goes to night mode and it sometimes the camera has to be restarted, because it freezes.

The camera works although the frame rate could be better. This is a moot point however because the camera can't attach to the aquarium glass. I took it out of the packaging that protected the camera and the base so securely and was moving the camera on the small swivel ball in the base when the camera just snapped off. Just like that - no way to secure the camera. The swivel ball is SO TIGHT that it is no wonder that the small diameter piece of plastic to connect the camera to the swivel ball just snapped. So now I have a camera that I can't use. Thanks FISHKAM for making such a poorly made mounting system!

The company is great because they refunded the price in 2 hours after arrival. The purchase was refunded because the Iphone app will NOT WORK with any password that has " special characters". Seriously? My router password is a complete sentence with only spaces and a period. Why would anyone make a device that requires a braindead password? Why would I want to change my password for a device that can transmit video. Seems pretty silly to me.

I have had this camera over six months. Got hot 5 mins after plugging it in.Have bot been able to get it connected to app. Wish I could view via computer without app. Since I cant get it to work, it does not even deserve one star.

I'd give this a 3 star review, but I'm upping the review for ease of setup. The camera itself is just OK, with a fair bit of lag time, but buyers should know that the fisheye lens is VERY distracting on big tanks. However, like I said: setup was super easy and very fast, and I had this up and running on my 110g aquarium in less than 10 minutes time. I would definitely buy a second if the fisheye lens wasn't so pronounced.

Had some trouble with the camera to start with. I was unable to get a connection no matter where I placed it. I contacted FishKam and after walking trough some troubleshooting, it was determined that I may just have a faulty camera. They sent out a replacement right away. The new camera connected quickly and has been running without issue for a day now. Top notch customer service. Thanks again.
