Many tutorials on YouTube for getting started and painting the figures (you don't really need to, but it can be fun.). The expansions look like they add enough to make the game playable for years, and there are fanzine-type adventure collections available (Sundayquest?) Contents are nicely packed. If you do decide to paint the figures, there are foam trays available to replace the plastic ones that come with the game. When you buy this on Amazon, be careful to check the selection to have it shipped in a box. I bought it and it was shipped in just the game box, with shipping labels stuck on, and the game box was badly scuffed and dinged. I returned it and got another copy shipped in a carton. I never imagined a game like this would be shipped without any packaging.
